A little about the artist

David Lee Diegel: Born Denver, CO., University of North Colorado, B.A. in Art Education. Has worked as a carpenter, bartender, house painter plumber and a woodsman. Heather Anne Jones: Hadron, NE. Attended Indiana University School of Music, in cello, opera scenic design and scenic painting. Has worked as a pizza chef, stagehand, hardware salesperson, and a woodworker's aide. David and Heather live in a planned rural community in the woods, 30 minutes southwest of Bloomington, with their four cats. They enjoy gardening, camping, hiking, listening to music, cooking for friends, and collecting antiques. Interests include Natural oddities, microscopic life, insects, Mayan artifacts, Howard Finster, St. EOM, opera scenery, Shaker artifacts... Heather and David try to use as much re-cycled lumber as possible, believing in the importance of conserving natural resources. All Tart & Bait pieces are milled, constructed and painted by hand by both David and Heather. All paints, glazes and finishes are oil based, because of their deep colors and ability to withstand everyday use.
