A little about the artist

After making a craft store kit basket more than 14 years ago, I knew this was not going to be for me a passing craft craze! Today basketry is not only my profession, but a passion. After leaving behind a full time dental hygiene career several years ago, I focused on building a basket business. Not only do I sell supplies, design patterns, and weave baskets for custom orders as well as retail sales, I travel to several states during the year to teach the art of basket weaving. While I have never met a basket I didn't like, my primary style is a functional, traditional basket. I also like to add unique colors to achieve plaid effects. I realized recently how lucky I am to have found a "job" that brings me joy and a sense of accomplishment when my 13 year old daughter asked me if I ever got tired of weaving baskets. "Never",I replied without hesitation.
