Jane Jensen has been painting for 15 years in three different countries. She received her B.A. degree in Art Education from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She has taught art in the public schools of
Northbrook, Il. and for 10 years and the Department of Defense in the Republic of Panama for one year.
It was in Panama where Jane began painting in watercolor after she retired from teaching. She was inspired by the beautiful landscape and tropical light of that mountainous country. She joined the American Penn Woman’s Society and won several first
place awards in the annual competitions that were held there.
Jane paints florals, landscapes, still life and does home renderings and portraits. Since she moved to Bloomington, Indiana in 1998 she has had several local exhibits of her work including the Gallery at meadowood Center, and the Wright Education
building on Campus of the Indiana University. She recently won first place in the annual Senior citizens competition by the Brown County Artisans Guild in Nashville, In. Jane maintains a studio/gallery in her home in Bloomington.
