I'm Veda Stanfield and I'm a mostly self taught artist. I've been teaching myself drawing and painting for decades.In my landscape paintings I paint what I've seen all my life, the rolling, wave-like, tucked and
folded hills of southern Indiana. I think this land is heartopeningly beautiful and haunted with all kinds of spirits--plant, animal and ancient human spirits. I hope that my paintings will evoke in the looker the joyful, magical experience of seeing and
feeling the spirit of the land and the spirits that haunt it.I also paint murals, special furniture, floorcloths and other decorative painting in living and working spaces to enchant the dwellers.
